Our Home Birth Group is an opportunity to explore everything you need to know about giving birth within the comfort of your home. From the practicalities of looking at where you might want to be in your house, whether you are interested in water birth and hiring a birth pool, or finding out what the midwives will be bringing with them, to looking at how having a home birth leads to less intervention and why this is.
People who are planning a Home Birth often want to know about what happens if you do need to transfer in to a hospital during your labour, and are often surprised to learn that the most common reason is pain relief.
Knowing your rights and choices whether you birth at home or in a hospital is an important part of antenatal education and these sessions provide a space where you can discuss thoughts and ideas and ask questions.
