What do we provide?

A simple place for a Mother to rest and Baby to feed, with less distraction. With the added benefit of having someone with midwivery and maternity care experience, to provide support any worries and answer any questions. It helps the family enjoy the festival more.

….do you have a ‘let’s make it work’ character?

We camp together and create a rota for the Rest Tent. In general, you will be required to do 3-5hours through the day, this could be in one go our split up through the day. In-between your rota, time is yours to enjoy the festival. In general, the tent support is from 10am to 9pm, this is guided by the ‘feel’ of the festival goer’s and the number of volunteers we have. You will then be free to enjoy the evening part of the festival.

….do you enjoy meeting new people?

The Rest Tent will always be supported by a min of 2 people. This will be determined by the experience levels and the numbers of volunteers. We get lots of volunteers, so the rota is fairly shared. No one will be put in a position they are professionally uncomfortable with.

….do you enjoy festivals?

There is an element of ‘make it work’ because of the nature of the enviroment, the event, and the public, can change plans quickly. The ability to adapt is important and something to keep in mind. We ask for a non-refundable deposit to help with volunteer commitment and the admin that goes into providing this free service.

We also provide a breakfast bap and a simple evening meal (like baked potato and chilli), so its a good use of the deposit x
