Cancellations and Amendment

We recognise that on occasion attendees will book onto a course and subsequently find they are unable to attend. Exceptional circumstances will always be taken into account when cancellations are necessary so if this situation does arise, please notify us of your need to cancel or postpone as soon as possible.

For attendees who have purchased a Real Birth Company package, if necessary, you can postpone part of the package once, free of charge.

For attendees who have purchased a standalone course the following refund policy will come into effect, should you need to cancel,

1 month before the start of the course 100% will be refunded less £25 administration fee

2 weeks or more before the start of the course 50% of the course fee is refundable Less than 2 weeks before the start of the course no fee is refundable.

GDPR

The participant also agrees that Zoe Wright and The Real Birth Company Limited shall hold your details on file and on computer and, in accordance with the GDPR Act 2018, you have the right to view, amend or delete your individual file by giving not less than seven days’ written notice. We treat your personal data with the utmost care and keep only relevant information to process your booking or membership. We will not sell or give your information to a 3rd party.

Intellectual Property / Photography & Recording

Any and all written material to support the training courses, whether in hard copy or electronic included as part or any of the courses and all rights worldwide (including Intellectual Property Rights) relating thereto respectively are the sole property of Zoe Wright, The Real Birth Company Limited, or others from whom such rights may be derived (whether or not protected by trademark and copyright laws) and may not be used other than for the personal use of the participant in face-to-face courses while they are a registered teacher of The Real Birth Company Limited without obtaining prior written permission. The participant agrees not to record the course or any part thereof.

The Real Birth Company Limited may photograph or record parts of courses for sales, marketing, promotional or quality control purposes.

By attending the course, you consent to being photographed or recorded. If you do not wish to appear in photographs or recordings, you must inform the instructor in writing prior to the course start date.

All Intellectual Property Rights arising from any resulting media shall remain the sole property of Zoe Wright and The Real Birth Company Limited.

Disclaimer

The Real Birth Programme and Workshop, its teachers or its representatives accept no responsibility for the inappropriate use of the programme or complications or harm to any third party resulting from the use of the programme and techniques as a substitute for medical advice.

The Real Birth Company’s courses are intended solely as an ‘aid’ to ‘help’ increase knowledge of birth physiology and through this add to the comfort of labour and birth and is not in any way a guarantee or promise of expected, imagined or actual outcome of the labour or birth in any way shape or form.

Participation in these classes in any part or in total by any person or third party is undertaken with the understanding by any persons or third party that no litigation or legal action whatsoever will be initiated or that no form of compensation or reimbursement or refund will be claimed or applied for at any time now or in the future against Zoe Wright, The Real Birth Company Limited, its instructors, its teachers, or its representatives under any circumstances whatsoever.

The Real Birth Company’s courses are not intended to replace or substitute clinical antenatal care, medical advice, diagnosis or treatment provided by your midwife, doctor or other healthcare professional.

All information provided within our courses, workshops and materials is for educational and informational purposes only.

If you have any specific medical concerns or questions regarding your pregnancy, labour or birth, you should seek the advice and care of your midwife, GP or appropriate healthcare provider.

Agreement

Any booking of any Real Birth Company Courses assumes full and informed compliance to and agreement with all of these terms and conditions of sale. In the event of a dispute, English law pertains.

Data Retention & Communication

The Real Birth Company Limited will store your personal records securely and confidentially for up to seven (7) years in accordance with legal, insurance and professional requirements.

By booking onto a course, you consent to receive relevant correspondence and information from your Real Birth Teacher and The Real Birth Company Limited relating to your booking or associated services. You may UNSUBSCRIBE from non-essential communications at any time.

Your modesty, privacy and confidentiality will be maintained at all times throughout your participation in any course or event.

Conduct & Participation

Respect for others is essential at all Real Birth Company courses and events. Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards teachers, hosts and other attendees at all times.

The Real Birth Company Limited reserves the right to ask any participant to leave a course or event without refund if their behaviour is deemed inappropriate, disruptive or disrespectful by the instructor, teacher or host.
