Baby & Toddler First Aid

Baby and Toddler First Aid is great class attended by new parents, grandparents and anyone else caring for a new baby or toddler, and looking to gain confidence.

This 2-hour class will provides the basic knowledge and the initial steps in how to respond to 1st Aid emergency. It is taught with a mixture of verbal and visual presentations, and practical lessons where you can practice all the techniques.

It is advisable to wear something comfy when you attend, for the practical skills sessions. You are welcome to bring your baby with you up until they are crawling. The reason is it can become difficult to teach if baby is more active.

There are couples ticket available which can be used for partner or a family member to come along with you. We can also provide private group sessions if this is something you would like.

If you are interested in completing the full Emergency Paediatics First Aid L3 course and gaining a certificate, then you can book the whole day (7 hours). There is also the option of a full PFA L3 which is 2 days (12 hours) which is for and child services like playgroups.

We have chosen sections from the full qualification courses and there no assessment or certificate, and this is why it is shorter. It is taught in line with the Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) L3 and the Full Paediatric First Aid (PFA) L3 course syllabus. Baby & Toddler 1st Aid for Parents is taught as an ‘unregulated’ course because the accreditors of first aid only regulate and certificate the EPAW and EPA as official courses.
